ProfiHub (shown below) has the functionality of a transparent, 5x repeater with electrically isolated channels. This allows network structures to be built with long stubs, each possessing the characteristics of the main bus. Up to 31 stations can be connected to each stub line. It is therefore possible to implement long stub lines supporting many stations and network structures with star-shaped segments. Thanks to integral signal regeneration, interference on one segment will not affect the others (see "Isolation of stations").

ProfiHub is available in two versions: protection class IP20 or IP65. It has 5 electrically isolated segments with connectable line termination resistors. There are no restrictions on the possible series connection of such repeaters.
A rotary switch can be used to adjust the bit rate for speedy activation, or the repeater may be left to identify the bit rate independently.
