ProfiTrace 2 has an available option for additional software that allows automatic recognition of topology.

Topology

This software can be used in additional to an existing master or with the ProfiCaptain master present in the same software.

The current version can only be used with bit rates of 500kBit/s and 1.5 MBit/s. Equally, topology recognition is only successful with a minimum distance of 1 m between devices and measurement must take place at one of the cable's physical ends.
