ProfiCaptain is a PC-supported DP master simulator that can be used together with a PC or notebook that has a USB port and operates under Windows 98(SE), 2000 or XP.
Test setup
ProfiCaptain is connected to a PROFIBUS network with a ProfiCore via the USB port:
ProfiCaptain can be connected as a replacement for or in addition to the master.

Live-list presentation of adjusted bus parameters is possible with the live-list of connected stations.

Network configuration with ProfiCaptain
In the configuration window, a user can set up his Profibus slaves with the appropriate modules and parameters and then put them on line - without compiling or downloading them. I/Os can easily be monitored and modified. If required, class 2 functions can be applied to all addresses in the network, even if they have not been configured or belong to another master.
