Setting parameters

The class 1 DP master (controller) can transfer its device parameters to a DP slave during initialization. It is possible to differentiate between standard parameters and device-specific parameters for the device or for individual modules belonging to it.

Device-specific parameters are described in the GSD file. All parameters are transferred with the Set_Parameter telegram from the class 1 DP master to the DP slave. Unless this has happened, the DP slave cannot exchange payload data.
